Air on the inside
The tubes go inside the glove, so warm defrost air circulates through the fingers from the inside out, not just around the outside of a wet glove.

Your dash stays clean
Loose gloves slide across the dash on every turn and stop, smearing mud, water and grit as they go. GloveDash gives them one spot, up off the dash surface.

Sits on the vent
The low-profile base sits on top of a portion of your defrost vent, right where the warm air comes out.

Zip tie it down
Slots in the base take a zip tie straight around the vent grille. Cinch it once and it's a permanent install. No sliding on gravel roads, no launching off the dash on a hard stop. Zip tie tiedown. Stays put.

Run the defrost
Warm vent air feeds the open-airflow plenum inside the base and pushes up through both perforated tubes.

Drop your gloves over the tubes on the way to the next job, during your 15, or over lunch. The tubes sit inside the gloves, so air moves through the fingers from the inside out.

Inventor-built
Fifteen years of pulling wire on job sites in Indiana winters. I got tired of putting cold, wet gloves back on after every break, so I built the fix myself, for my own truck first.

My wife Samantha is the reason this exists. She got tired of watching me haul soaked gloves in and out of the house, and she’s the one who told me to quit complaining and build it. She comes on as co-owner when we launch.

Will it warp or melt sitting on the dash?
No. It is printed in ASA, the same family of plastic the auto industry uses for exterior parts like mirror housings and grilles. The manufacturer rates it to hold its shape past 220°F. The hottest dashboard temperatures ever recorded in a study were around 160°F, and that was a car parked in Phoenix in full summer sun. That is a wide margin, and your defroster air in winter is nowhere close to either number.
Mine rides on my dash every day and it went through the hottest month of the year without moving.

What about the sun? Will it fade or get brittle?
ASA exists specifically because of the sun. It is UV stable, which is the whole reason it gets used on the outside of vehicles instead of regular ABS. The manufacturer ran two years of outdoor aging tests and measured barely perceptible color change with almost no loss of strength, and that was a part sitting in raw weather. Yours sits behind glass, which is easier duty.

It is 3D printed. Is that going to hold up?
The fear about printed parts on a dash comes from PLA, which is the cheap easy plastic that almost every printed thing is made from. PLA goes soft around 140°F, so yes, a PLA part would sag on your dash with nothing even sitting on it. GloveDash is not PLA and never was.
Printing is just how it gets built, one unit at a time in Indiana on my own machines. The plastic is what decides whether it survives the dash, and I picked the automotive one.

Does it need power, batteries, or wiring?
None of the above. Nothing to plug in, nothing to charge, no fuse to tap, no cord running across your cab. It uses the heat your truck already makes. If your truck runs, it works.

Where does it mount, and will it fit my truck?
It sits on top of a portion of your defrost vent, not across the whole thing, so you keep your windshield clear and it stays down out of your line of sight.
It ties down with a zip tie so it stays where you put it through bumps, corners, and hard stops instead of sliding into the windshield. Most trucks and cars have a vent it will sit on. If you are not sure about yours, send me a photo of your dash and I will tell you straight either way.

How long does it take to dry a pair of gloves?
Depends how soaked they are, how cold it is, and how long you drive. Damp from snow on a normal run between jobs and they are warm and dry when you grab them. Soaked through after standing in rain all morning, give it the drive plus your lunch break.
It is moving warm air through the glove instead of over it. Not a magic trick, but it beats pulling cold wet gloves back on.

Does it work for anything besides gloves?
Gloves are what I built it for and gloves are what I have tested, so that is what I will promise. People have asked about beanies, socks, and work boots, and I am not going to tell you it does something I have not proven yet.
